Greetings and welcome to my blog entry for today. It's gonna be a shorter one than usual because I really don't have much to say this time out (or want to say just yet), but in the meantime let's get going here. Enjoy.
- I haven't had much feedback from my last blog (just a couple of people), but I think I understand. It's not easy to listen to someone whose not doing all that great, especially when it sounds like they may be whining about it. It's especially difficult when you've got stuff of your own to deal with or the stuff you hear just gets on your nerves for whatever reason. All I can say to that is "Hey, I get it." If people are going to avoid me because of it, then so be it. Unfortunately, there's really not much else I can do outside of that because I can't control how people feel about what I talk about. BTW, I've still got the black cloud thing going on, but with activities coming up I am hoping for things to improve at least a little bit. That's all I can ask for at this point.
- As the subtitle suggests, the 2010 season of football at the college and pro levels ramps up starting this next week. This Saturday the OSU Buckeyes take on the Miami Hurricanes in their first matchup since the National Championship battle years ago (where OSU won it all). This Sunday NFL football kicks off the 2010 regular season (I'll talk about the Browns in the next blurb). Also, next Saturday UFL pro football starts up and will air all it's games on www.ufl-football.com or you can catch some individually on either HDNET, NESN or Versus if you get any of those channels. My Florida Tuskers play at 11 PM after most of the college football games are over, so I'll get to catch them at least.
- The Cleveland Browns start off their regular season this Sunday at 1 PM against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you live in the Columbus area, that game and the next Browns game will not be on local TV. However, it will be on at Jimmy V's in uptown Westerville, so you can come and join up with me and the Westerville Browns Backers in cheering on the Dawgs to victory this Sunday. I put up the event on the Westerville Browns Backers fan page on Facebook and I've got a link up to that event from my Facebook profile, so you can check those out if you want more info.
- Even though I might be going through rough waters, that doesn't mean I wanted to cut myself off from people (even though I haven't been around anyone regularly outside of my Browns Backers stuff). If anybody wants to talk, give me a buzz. Who knows...maybe it'll help me get rid of that black cloud.
- Song on repeat: "Loser" by Beck. Nuff said...for now.
- SLP to the following: Steve, George, the Westerville Browns Backers, Dave, Griff, Lynn (happy b-day), Stan, Kevin S., Heather and Holly (happy b-day to the both of you).
That's it for this time out. I told you it was gonna be short and I meant it. Maybe next time it will be longer and I'll have more to talk about. Since the Browns games are on a regular schedule (1 PM every Sunday unless they're flexed later on), the sporadic nature of this blog will continue for the near term unless stuff starts happening. Until next time, folks. Take care and God Bless.
